Prioritizing Your Safety – NAMCOL Hosts MVA Fund for Workplace Road Safety Presentation

The Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) today had the privilege of hosting the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund team for a crucial presentation on workplace road safety to its staff members. This initiative underscores NAMCOL’s dedication, and the MVA Fund’s commitment, to raising awareness on road safety and ensuring the well-being of all Namibian citizens, fostering a culture of safety both within the institution and beyond.

During the informative session, Mr. Sem Amunkete a Senior Accident and Injury Prevention Officer from the Fund highlighted key factors essential in reducing road accidents. He particularly emphasized the critical importance of car inspection and maintenance before embarking on any trip. Furthermore, Mr. Amunkete advised drivers to acquaint themselves with appropriate tyre types for Namibian roads and to consider the prevailing Namibian weather conditions to significantly reduce the risk of accidents. As a key stakeholder in road safety in Namibia, the MVA Fund provided valuable insights and practical advice designed to help NAMCOL staff navigate roads more safely and responsibly.
