This programme aims to empower students to provide support for the\u00a0decentralisation and democratisation process of governance in Namibia\u00a0and to support capacity building initiatives of regional councils and local\u00a0authorities through a tailor-made academic programme.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022\u00a0Provide support for the decentralisation and democratisation process in Namibia;<\/span><\/br>\n\u2022\u00a0Support capacity building initiatives of regional councils and local authorities through a tailor-made academic programme;<\/span><\/br>\n\u2022\u00a0Provide opportunities for school-leavers who have an interest in a career in regional and local government administration;<\/span><\/br>\n\u2022\u00a0Provide an academic programme that would be acceptable as a basic entry qualification for students interested in enrolling for a Diploma in Local Government Studies in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies at UNAM. This is subject to students meeting the academic entry requirements of UNAM<\/span><\/br>\n\u2022\u00a0Provide a better chance to qualify as a Certified Municipal Professional(CMP) with the Namibian Association of Local Authority Offices (NALAQO) once obtaining this qualification<\/span><\/br>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
