NAMCOL Represented at Global Higher Education Quality Assurance and Academic Integrity Conference in Botswana.
The Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) was represented at the recently concluded Global Trends in Higher Education Quality Assurance and Academic Integrity Conference held in Botswana.

The conference, which took place over three days from 26 – 28 March 2025, was held to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among scholars in Africa, enabling them to learn from each other’s experiences and contribute to the advancement of higher education quality and integrity across the continent.

NAMCOL was represented by a dedicated team of three staff members Mr. Lukas Bock – Regional Manager – Central Region, Ms. Hanna Garises – Manager: Assessment and Certification and Ms. Lise-Lothe Ngeama – Quality Assurance Officer.

The conference programme covered a range of pertinent themes with Day 1, focused on Open Distance Learning (ODL) and Examinations Integrity, while Day 2 was centered on Quality Assurance and Academic Integrity and finally Day 3 involved discussions on Governance, Research, and Policy. NAMCOL’s participation in this conference underscores our commitment to staying abreast of global trends and continuously enhancing our practices in quality assurance and academic integrity to better serve our students and stakeholders.
